Rohit Sharma led Mumbai Indians to lift the fifth Indian Premier League (IPL) title after winning the 13th edition of the league. With this, he has become the most successful captain of the cash-rich league. But many have raised questions about whether Rohit Sharma could grab the trophy if he would have captained any other team.
Rohit has now responded to all such talks and doesn’t seem to be pleased with it at all. In the interview with Outlook, he said that there was no reason for him to think if he could win the IPL while leading any other team. Moreover, the 33-year-old also cleared that he and the franchise are going hand-in-hand in terms of planning.

“Lot of people, I hear say that can he (Rohit) do it with other teams? Firstly, why shall I need to do it with other teams? There is a certain way this franchise wants to go and same direction I want to go as well, both as a player and leader,” he was quoted as saying by Outlook.
Mumbai Indians doesn’t believe in chopping and changing: Rohit Sharma
Rohit Sharma added that Mumbai Indians backs their players and support them unlike other franchise, who believe in making instant changes.
“Did this team become good overnight? No. It’s just that this franchise doesn’t believe in chopping and changing. And every player, including Rohit Sharma, was available (2011) at auctions. Just that MI picked and believed in building a team,” Rohit Sharma further added.
Mumbai Indians were stand out during the whole tournament, beating every franchise one time. Moreover, they had beaten Delhi Capitals, the second-best franchise in the season, three times before defeating them in the grand finale to clinch the IPL 2020 trophy.
Mumbai Indians had the well-settled team with Rohit Sharma leading them with his astute captaincy.
