Dismissing Rohit Sharma Will Be Dream Come True: Naseem Shah

Naseem Shah is the rising star of the Pakistan national cricket team. He made the debut last year against Australia in the Test series. He also became the youngest bowler (16 years, 359 days) to claim a Test hat-trick during a match against Bangladesh early this year. For his dream hat-trick, the youngster has picked three great batsmen of this era.

Naseem Shah picked Rohit Sharma to be in his hat-trick. He heaped praise on Rohit’s batting technique, saying that he has every shot in his book. The 17-year-old said that dismissing the hit-man would be his dream come true. The attacking batsman has, so far, played 32 Tests, 224 ODIs and 108 T20Is. He is the second-highest scorer in the shortest format, scoring 2773 T20I runs. He is also the only cricket to register three double ODI century.

“Rohit Sharma has the ability to play all types of deliveries, be it short ones or good length deliveries. His records speak for itself and picking his wicket would be a dream come true for me,” Naseem told Cricingif as quoted by the Pakistan Observer.

The pacer also picked Australia’s great batsman Steve Smith, who is famous for his unorthodox tactics. Smith is the No.1 Test batsman, scoring 7227 runs in 73 Tests. In white-ball format, he has scored 416 runs in 125 ODIs and 681 runs in 39 T20Is.

For his next wicket, he picked England’s genius cricketer Joe Root, who is also the Test captain. Root has so far played 92 Tests, 146 ODIs and 32 T20Is for England. He has accumulated 7599 runs in red-ball cricket, while 5922 runs in ODIs. In the shortest format, Root has 893 runs to his name.

Naseem Shah will have an opportunity to dismiss England captain Joe Root in the three-match Test series in England starting on August 5.

Currently, he is training in Derby with the rest of Pakistan’s squad members after following 14-days quarantine.
