Indian Premier League’s franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has suspended their training camp until further notice because of the outbreak of COVID-19 (coronavirus). Earlier, the training camp was scheduled to start from 21st March as the league was scheduled to start from 29th of March.

RCB on its official twitter account informed the fans that there will no practice sessions. Further, they appealed to everyone to follow the health guidelines to prevent the spreading of the virus.

“Keeping in mind the health and safety of everyone involved, the RCB Training Camp scheduled to start on the 21st of March has been deferred until further notice. We request everyone to follow the guidelines provided by the Health Ministry and stay safe,” RCB wrote on its official account.

Chennai Super Kings had also called off the practice sessions which had begun from 2nd March. Their practice session was attended by the skipper MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina, and Ambati Rayudu.

Apart from these big names, Sai Kishore and many newcomers also attended the training camp. Hundreds of people came to watch the CSK players playing at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

Thus, to curb mass gathering, Tamil Nadu Cricket Association proclaimed to suspend the sessions.

Royal Challengers Bangalore has a decent team for IPL 2020:

On Sunday, owners of the IPL franchises attended the meeting with BCCI members. In the meeting, the plan for the future of the 13th edition was discussed amid the growth of the pandemic.

The IPL Chairman Brijesh Patel informed that the discussion had put out five potential dates, them being April 15, April 21, April 25, May 1 and May 5.

On Monday, the IPL governing council and BCCI will have another meeting to take the final call on IPL 2020 edition. So far, it has been frustrating times across the globe for sports lovers as well.
