Good news for Sri Lankan Cricket. Their suspended spinner Sachitra Senanayake has been cleared to bowl again.
International Cricket Council (ICC) on December 9th cleared Senanayake’s action of all suspicion and said that he can resume bowling in international cricket again.
Senanayake was suspended from bowling from international cricket in July this year after his action was found illegal following the bio-mechanical assessments.
This is good moment for Senanayake as his hopes of making into the World Cup squad have taken a step ahead. With Sri Lanka to tour New Zealand in January 2015 for Test and ODI series, Senanayake will surely find himself in the squad to boost his chances for the World Cup.
Moreover, apart from Senanayake, ICC has also cleared New Zealand’s vice-captain Kane Williamson.
