Sidharth Gulati / 10 December 2014

The Supreme Court on December 10th directed the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to postpone its elections till 31st January 2015 because its hearings haven’t been completed till now. Initially, the elections were to be held on December 17th.

On 10th December, Srinivasan assured Supreme Court that if he is re-elected as the BCCI president, he’ll stay out of BCCI Annual General Meetings and IPL related matters till his name is cleared.

BCCI also raised in SC the issue of its autonomy in case two-judge panel directs them to change rules over conflict of interest. BCCI opposed Srinivasan’s proposal to let the proposed two-judge panel make corrections in rules regarding conflict of interest.
