Well, the book of Shahid Afridi is revealing quite a few interesting aspects of his career. The flamboyant striker of the ball has admitted to the offence, which he committed during his peak stage of the career. Afridi revealed that he had bitten the ball to get the reverse swing on it.

Recently, Shahid Afridi revealed that he faked his age when he first made his debut for Pakistan. As per the records, the all-rounder from Pakistan was born on March 1st, 1980, which means that he is 39-year-old now. But, the real birth year of Afridi is 1975, who mentioned in his book.

Meanwhile, he revealed yet another controversial topic in his cricketing career. He penned down a couple of paragraphs on the ball-tampering incident, for which, he was banned for a couple of T20I matches.

In 2010, Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi was caught on camera biting the ball during a one-day international against Australia in Perth. Afridi was banned for two Twenty20 Internationals.

The book is already controversial for its comments on Pakistan great Javed Miandad. He also made harsh comments on India’s opening batsman Gautam Gambhir. And also, for the revelation that Afridi was not 16 when he scored a destructive 100 off 37 balls against Sri Lanka but a full 19 years old.

For more than 17 years, the 37-ball 100 record of Shahid Afridi, who came to bat at number 3 remained the fastest century in the ODI format. Later,  Corey Anderson of New Zealand broke the record in January 2014.

However, despite the age fraud, he made a remarkable journey in International cricket. He has been their best player over the years and also acquired quite a few records for Pakistan.

As far as the career stats are concerned, Afridi appeared in 27 Test matches, 398 ODI games. And also, he played 99 T20 International games and participated in the Indian Premier League.
