Shaun Marsh, the elder of the Marsh’s brother will replace Michael Clarke for the 2nd Test at Brisbane next week against India. The first Test was won by Australia , after a series of ups and downs in the match.
Shaun Marsh has so far not done justice to his talent and has been inconsistent in the longer format for Australia. Michael Clarke was in trouble trying for a direct hit and was clearly in pain. He was then sent for a scan and the scans clearly showed that Clarke has a torn right hamstring and thus he will not be a part of the Australian side for the remainder of the series.
It is now hard to judge if Clarke will be a part of Australian team for the World Cup, considering his fitness. Along with Shaun Marsh, Australian selectors have also called in Mitchell Starc for the Gabba Test match.
