Shoaib Akhtar Praises Pakistan PM Imran Khan For Urging Peace Talks

Former Pakistan pacer Shoaib Akhtar has praised the former Pakistan World Cup-winning captain and the present Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan for urging about peace talks with India in the current situation.

On 14 February, a suicide bomber attacked with an explosive-laden vehicle into a CRPF bus in Pulwama district (Jammu and Kashmir). More than 40 soldiers have lost their lives, and many are critically injured. The Pakistan-based terrorist organisation Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) carried out that attack.

The whole world has condemned on that coward incident. Many Indians have come to protest against that incident by throwing away the entire relationship with Pakistan.

Later, on 26 February, the Indian Air Force (IAF) carried an air strike over Balakot (POK). They bombed on JeM’s camps and destroyed those camps.

In this tension moment, the Pakistan PM Imran Khan has reportedly urged to make peace talks with India to end the crisis. Currently, #SayNoToWar is trending on social media.

Adding that trend on his post, Shoaib Akhtar tweeted, “Better sense should prevail”. A very sensible offer from Prime Minister @ImranKhanPTI#SayNoToWar”.

India-Pakistan match in the upcoming World Cup

Since January 2013, India and Pakistan haven’t played a bilateral cricket series yet. At present, they only meet during the ICC or ACC tournaments. They are likely to meet next time in the upcoming 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup. According to the schedule, India and Pakistan will meet on 16 June at Manchester.

However, many Indians have even called to boycott the Pakistan match in the upcoming World Cup. Some Indian cricket experts have also given the same opinion while some other Indian cricket experts have opposed that boycott idea.

However, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will take the ultimate decision on that World Cup game. Meanwhile, the BCCI is waiting for the government judgment to make the final call on that match.

Recently, the International Cricket Council (ICC) revealed that the India-Pakistan in the upcoming World Cup is high in demand. While they are monitoring the present situation, they are also confident about that game.
