India hosted its first-ever day/night Test at the Eden Gardens between 22nd and 24th November. Throughout the game, the stadium was brimming with the cheering audience. The perfect show by the Indian cricketers added to the giddiness of Sourav Ganguly.
The historic pink-ball came to an end on the third day of the second Test match against Bangladesh. The Indian bowlers represented their strength and brutalized the entire team by an innings and 46 runs. The game was over within three days where Bangladesh was swiped clean in the first innings on a total of 106 runs.
Meanwhile, in the second innings again the Indian pacers were lethal on the visitors. The hosts won the series by 2-0 and now sits at the top of the points table of the ICC World Test Championship with 360 points.
However, the cheers that oozed from the audience on every boundary and wickets were what filled the newly-appointed BCCI President with happiness. To him, it was a reminder of the 2001 Test match, giving away the feeling of one of the World Cup matches.

Throughout the World Test Championship going on, India has emerged as unbeaten among all the other competing teams. The performance put up by the Indian bowlers and batsmen in their first-ever pink ball game, made it a memorable history.
However, apart from the impeccable show from the hosts, the warm and cheerful welcome from the audience was a show-stopper. As soon as the sun came down, the spectators had lighted their phones, waving to cheer and support the teams.
However, the giddy President posted a picture of him from the presentation ceremony on Instagram. While he was happy with the commencement of the game, in the picture Sourav Ganguly wore a slight frown on his face due to sunlight.
His daughter, Sana Ganguly noticed it and posted a funny comment on his post. This incident, thereafter, transformed into a funny banter between the father and daughter on Instagram.
“What is it that you’re not liking ?” Sana commented on her father’s post, to which Ganguly responded, “@sanaganguly that ur becoming so disobedient.” Sana was quick to hit back and wrote, “@souravganguly learning from you.”
