Sunil Narine banned from CLT20 final over suspect action
In day’s biggest news Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) mystery spinner Sunil Narine has been reported again by the match referee for illegal bowling action. This is the second time Narine has been reported and in consecutive matches which means the off spinner will be suspended for the rest of the tournament.
Earlier, Narine was reported for illegal bowling action against the Dolphins. He was reported for the quicker delivery which he generally bowls. According to rules, Narine will now have to undergo a test in 20 days as per ICC regulations.
The report was filed during his team KKR’s semi-final match against Hobart Hurricanes at Hyderabad. Earlier the other three cricketers who have been suspected with illegal actions were Lahore Lions’ Adnan Rasool, Mohammad Hafeez and Dolphins’ Mohammad Subrayen.
Narine was reported by the on-field umpires S Ravi and RJ Tucker, along with the third umpire Kumar VA Kulkarni at the conclusion of the match.
