Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) might schedule the training session for Team India’s player in Ahmedabad ahead of the Australia tour in October. The renovated Motera Stadium is being considered for the venue because of his advanced services.

India is scheduled to tour Australia to play three-match T20I, four-match Test and three-match ODI series later this year. The T20I series, which is scheduled in October, is the preparatory series ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup 2020.

However, the mega event’s suspension might also cancel the series. In December, the two teams will play Border-Gavaskar series at four different venues – Brisbane, Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney. Following this, the ODI series is scheduled in January.

As far as Training camp is concerned, Indian Express reported that the facilities at the world’s largest Motera have tilted the scales in its favour for the camp. Major cities like Mumbai, Kolkata and many more are seeing a rise in COVID-19 cases even after implementing two months strict lockdown. So, they could not be in the option.

Meanwhile, Team India’s player Ishant Sharma, Umesh Yadav, Mohammad Shami and other cricketers have started their practices while following the safety norms of their area.

The outbreak of the coronavirus has hashed the cricketing schedules. As per reports, the series between India and England in September will get postponed. Also, New Zealand A’s visit to the country next month will be called off.

Indian players haven’t played a competitive match in the past five months. They were last seen on the grounds in the away series against New Zealand.

The ODI series against South Africa Earlier in March got cancelled though the Proteas had landed India. Indian Premier League(IPL) which was scheduled to start from 29th March also got postponed indefinitely. However, speculations of hosting the cash-rich league later this year never die.
