Teams With Highest Average Wickets Per Innings in 2015 World Cup 

After many highs, lows and magic moments, the ICC World Cup 2015 came to an end on March 29th with Australia winning the coveted title for the fifth time at MCG. They displayed great tenacity, consistency throughout the tournament and were the worthy winners. All in all, the teams that participated produced excellent cricket in the seven week long tournament and thoroughly entertained the followers of the game worldwide. 

During the event, an interesting stat came into notice and, it was the average wickets per innings attained by teams and, the one that achieved the highest was none other than the Michael Clarke lead Australian team. Lead by Mitchell Starc, who took the most number of wickets (22) in the tournament, Australian bowlers wrapped up the opposition seven out of 8 times and ended up with an awe-inspiring of 9.87. 

Australia are followed by India, who except in their semi-final clash against the World Champions, bundled out the opposition on all occasions. They ended up with an impressive average of 9.62. Bangladesh and Sri Lanka feature at the bottom of this list because of their inconsistent bowling against (Scotland, India) and (Australia, England and New Zealand) respectively.
