The Chepauk team led by the KKR player Rajagopal Sathish went onto to crush the Subramaniam Badrinath led Karaikudi Kaalai in the first and the only match of the bumper Sunday. R Sathish after winning the toss made the right decision to bat first as his team went on to score a huge total of 195 runs. The contribution of 40’s from H Gopinath and captain himself were quite crucial for this team. Small contrition from other batsmen and 22 wides also played an important part in this innings.

The Karakikudi Kaalai had a tough task to chase such a huge total. They lost the early wicket of Srikkanth Anidrudha in the second over but the succeeding batsmen did not lose the hope and they plundered 56 runs in 31 balls to come. This was the only thing to cheer for this team as after falling of the second wicket the Chepauk bowler toppled Karaikudi batting line up and sent them packing on a total of 128 runs thus winning the game by a margin of 67 runs.
