TNPL: VB Thiruvallur Veerans defeats Madurai Super Giants in last over thriller

Thiruvallur Veerans defeated the Madurai supergiants in a last over thriller to clinch the game by a margin of 6 runs. Batting first the VB Thiruvallur team put up a total of 143 runs on the board. ND Chaturved top scored for them scoring 42 runs. However, they missed the services of Baba Aprajith who scored a century in the first game as his presence would have made a big difference. Aprajith is busy playing Duleep trophy for India Blue.

The Madurai Supergiants had an average start before going to fifth gear. They were on the course of winning the game but started losing regular wickets which had an effect on the run rate. In the end, they needed 19 runs of last over but could only make 12 thus losing the game by 6 runs. R Rohit was the hero with the ball taking 3 wickets giving away just 21 runs.
