Matthew Hoggard

When it comes to selecting best opening fast bowlers, Matthew Hoggard’s name can’t be ignored. With the stunning figures of 248 wickets in just 67 Test matches, this English fast bowler gave everything to his side. Hoggard played a key role when the team won the Ashes in 2005. His career-best match haul of 12 for 205 against the strong South Africa is simply unforgettable. His ODI career was not as successful as his Test one as it consisted of only 26 matches. The right-arm fast bowler was a part of 2003 World Cup squad but was not included in the last eleven in any match.
