Video: Umpire kicked Chris Gayle out of the field in a friendly way 1

Cricket lovers would have kicked out the umpire from the ground for what he had done to them yesterday. The umpire nearly cost them from seeing the entertainment i.e. Chris Gayle, they paid for. The bizarre scenario took place in his “adopted home ground” of M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore – Gayle’s home ground within the Indian Premier League.

Apparently, the scenario was that Chris Gayle was out for several minutes when the first innings was going on in the Sri Lanka vs. West Indies match. As per the rules of ICC, a cricketer who is spending time out of the ground due to injury in the first innings would have to make it up by spending the same amount of time in the dressing room when their team is up for batting. That’s the reason why the crowd could not see Chris Gayle coming out of the dressing room as the opener.

There were lots of boos in the passionate crowd, along with Bangalore locals who were keen to see their favorite West Indian superstar in his own mood after he is on a roll by scoring the fastest century in the opening contest for the West Indies match. Gayle somewhat felt that he was lacking out the fans and despite the injury and the prerequisites he padded up and showed up in the dugout to go out into the ground. Gayle signaled to the West Indies bench 2 times that he is coming out and as soon as that caught the fourth umpire’s attention he had no choice but to literally drag him back into the dressing room.

Chris Gayle returned to the sidelines after the match without his batting gear to give a blink of him to the fans and did not forget to thank the crowd who missed his performance badly. Here’s the video of the incident.
