In the World T20 qualifier match between Ireland and Oman, the world came to a standstill when underdogs Oman handed over a dramatic defeat to the Irish boys. But during the match came an unforgettable moment of brilliance on the field as well which would be treasured by the fans for a long time.
Oman required 22 runs off the final 15 deliveries when the man in form, Ali pulled a short delivery which seemed going over the mid-wicket boundary for a six till the Irish fielder, Gary Wilson made a freakish attempt to pull the ball back into the playing area. Wilson in an acrobatic attempt leaped backwards and in an awe-inspiring manner brought the ball back into play and thereby saved 5 crucial runs for his side.
