England might have had a great outing in the day 2 of the first Ashes test at Cardiff. But the same can’t be said about their skipper Alastair Cook. Cook, fielding in first slip stopped a Steve Smith edge that fell short and bounced painfully into the Englishman’s private organ.

Teammate Joe Root swathe funny side of it and was amused and was laughing cheekily. Australian batsman Chris Rogers, who was at the non-strikers end described the entire incident.

I saw it pretty clearly actually. I was trying not to laugh, Rogers said after the day’s play. Particularly when I saw Joe Root laugh I thought, ‘oh, he’s okay, said Rogers. Here is the exclusive footage of the incident.
