The World Cup is getting into the most crucial stage and fans are getting some entertainment off the cricket field too, Courtesy the Star Sports “Mauka Mauka” advertisements, which are currently the talk of the town.
It all begins with a Pakistani fan in his childhood watching the 1992 World Cup match between India and Pakistan. When Pakistan were cruising for a win, he decides to celebrate by bursting crackers and brought one. But in the end, India held their nerves and defeated their arch-rivals which made the fan disappointed. He took the crackers and place it in a shelf and hoped to take it when Pakistan beats India in World Cups. He waited in the 1996, 1999 and 2003 to burst the crackers, but again, he was disappointed by his team. In the meantime, he got married and his son grew and was watching with his dad hoping that Pakistan will beat India in the Semi-Finals of the 2011 World Cup and they can burst those crackers. Once again, they were trolled and were waiting for the 2015 World Cup. Unfortunately for them, they couldn’t do it again and the fans are still frustrated. With this, India have a 6-0 winning streak over Pakistan in World Cups.
Like India’s winning streak, South Africa too have a 3-0 winning streak against India as the Proteas have got the better of Indians in 1992, 1996 and 2011. So, this time, a couple of South African fans gifted the Indian fans a box of crackers and wished them that their team defeat South Africa at Melbourne and end their streak. The Pakistani teamed up with the South Africans and all the three together watched South Africa getting humiliated by India and the streak was ended bringing some frustration on their face. It was when a UAE fan rang their calling bell and presented them an UAE jersey and joined them for the match between India and UAE, which India finished off with ease.
Then came a Yepme parcel (the official sponsors for West Indies team) which had the West Indian jerseys for the fans (Pakistani, South Africans and the UAE fan). Let us see what the Indian team has in store for West Indies and what Star Sports has for these fans.
