MS Dhoni got angry over Yuvraj Singh for the later’s slack attitude in the final at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on April 2, 2011.

In the high voltage final of the 2011 World Cup Sri Lanka batting first scored 274 highly thanks to Mahela Jayawardene who scored unbeaten 103 and Kumar Sangakkara scored 48. India commencing their case lost Virender Sehwag’s wicket and a few overs later lost the wicket of Sachin Tendulkar. Indian fans lost their hope. But Gautam Gambhir played well-fought innings for India. He stictched an innings of 97 runs and built an 83 run partnership with young Virat Kohli. But Indian fans put their hands on the head as Kohli’s wickets fall.

Then captain Dhoni joined Gautam Gambhir and built a 109 run match defining performnace. Gambhir could win the match unbeaten. But, he was bowled by Thisara Perera.


However, that did not chance India’s fortune in the match as MS Dhoni went to score unbeaten 91. During MS Dhoni’s innings Yuvraj Singh, who came after Gambhir departure, was not serious about the match as India were on the brink of victory.

India weree needed 22 runs from 22 balls. Dhoni played a straight drive which was filded Dhoni took a single Yuvraj Singh was coming the second run. Dhoni got angry.
