Bangladesh and Kolkata Knight Riders cricketer Shakib Al Hasan has been banned for 3 matches by the for an ‘inappropriate gesture’ aimed at the crowd during the 2nd ODI between the Bangladeshi tigers and Sri Lanka.
Shakib threw his wicket away to put Bangladesh in a precarious situation and was the subject of much criticism from the crowd. But the leading all-rounder reacted in a way that is completely unacceptable for a professional cricketer, making what can be interpreted as a lewd gesture.
