Fast bowler Mohammed Shami is all set to bolster Bengal team in the final of the Vijay Hazare Trophy against Tamil Nadu. The news was confirmed by a Cab official to PTI on the eve of the game, ”

“Yes, the good news is that Mohammed Shami is available for the final match. He has joined the Bengal squad in the evening today,” a senior CAB official confirmed the development to PTI on Sunday

Shami, who flew to Ranchi with team India has returned to the national capital and it will be the best chance for him to prove his fitness and a present his case for the fourth and the final Test in front of the selectors, who have been attendance in all knockout games till now.

Shami though played the final league stage game for Bengal against Gujarat on March 6 but was not selected in the Test squad for the final two games against Australia.

Surely, it has come as a big boost for Manoj Tiwary and company as Shami’s presence can really make a big impact. The new of Shami’s comeback was not revealed till the evening of the game so as to prevent the news from Tamil Nadu team. However, it will be interesting to see who will make way for the Indian pacer for the final game.
