The Indian cricketers are currently sweating out with their respective teams as the eleventh edition of Indian Premier League. However, Indian skipper Virat Kohli has found some leisure time to enjoy cricket between South Africa and Australia in the ongoing fourth test match and praised Aiden Markram.
The series became notorious over the past week after the sandpaper gate and had attracted attention from all the corners of the cricketing world. However, both the teams are fighting it hard in the final test to provide entertainment for the fans as the series is on the line.
South Africa went into the game with a 2-1 lead and will need to procure at least a draw in the final test to clinch the series. Having won the toss, captain Faf du Plessis had elected to bat first, and the Proteas batsmen are off to a good start.
However, Pats Cummins was impressive throughout and scalped some important wickets. But young South African opener Aiden Markram had ridden the storm and managed an overwhelmingly remarkable 152 runs in his knock which caught the eye of Indian skipper.
Virat Kohli was quick to applaud the efforts of the 22-year old who is still in the first phase of his career. The elegant right-handed batsman made a mockery of Aussie bowling as he exploited loose deliveries and dispatched them to boundaries whenever possible.
The Indian skipper who is delighted with the youngster’s performance tweeted: “Aiden Markram ??”
