Abdul Qadir, former Pakistan leg-spinner, has urged the International Cricket Council (ICC) to ban Indian skipper Virat Kohli, whose ball tampering incident came into limelight after an English newspaper shared a video in which he was seen shining the ball with an outside substance during the first Test against England at Rajkot. This video soon became viral and questions were raised on him.

Qadir has launched an attack on Indian skipper as he said Kohli should also be fined for this act and added that in case the ICC is reluctant to take an action on him, then other board members should also stand against this and should complain to the governing body.

Not just Qadir, former Pakistan selector Haroon Rasheed has too jumped in the ring and has demanded for a on Virat Kohli, “According to the ICC rules action against a player is only taken if he is reported by the referee or field to umpire.

“We don’t see the application of same rule for India. The ICC always treats India differently. Such an attitude is harmful for the game of cricket,” he said.

To take a note, Pakistan players have a history of incidents, where they have been caught doing wrong things on the field. Who can forget Shahid Afridi biting the ball like an apple on national television in an international game. Fixing has also been a big problem in Pakistan cricket. Still, these former Pakistani players have the courage to talk like this. Surely, BCCI needs to take a step against them who just want to make highlights instead of talking some sense.
