Former Indian destructive opener, Virender Sehwag has now responded to VVS Laxman in the most for his comments on Sehwag. On Friday, VVS Laxman took to Twitter to heap praise on Virender Sehwag and stated that Viru’s self-confidence was infectious. Now, Viru has paid the tribute back to Laxman.
VVS Laxman, himself, was a consistent run-getter in Test cricket while a more than capable white-ball batsman. His match-saving knock against Australia alongside Rahul Dravid in the 2001 Kolkata Test at Eden Gardens is still considered to be one of the finest Test knocks by an Indian batsman in the format.
Virender Sehwag replied to Laxman’s Tweet and lauded the former middle-order batsman for his inevitable contribution to Indian cricket.

Replying to VVS Laxman’s Tweet, Viru wrote, “You have been a great friend and made such wonderful contribution to Indian Cricket and are one of the nicest guys, Bhrata.”

Laxman also had the respect of all the team members in the dressing room. He always had the backing of former captains Sourav Ganguly, Rahul Dravid and Anil Kumble. After bringing down the curtains on his career, Laxman is now a widely respected cricket pundit and commentator.
Virender Sehwag Had An Illustrious Stint
Sehwag represented India in 104 Tests, 251 ODIs and 19 T20Is in which he scored 8586, 8273 and 394 runs respectively. Sehwag, who started as a middle-order batsman, was the first Indian to score a triple ton in Test cricket when he achieved the milestone against Pakistan at Multan in 2004.
He destroyed almost every opponent during his stint in the international circuit and feared none of them when he took to the ground. There have been numerous incidents when Virender Sehwag shocked everyone with the amount of fearless cricket he played. Various key players who had the opportunity of playing alongside him have heaped praise on the Indian legend time and again.
