Watch: Fans Say DC-KKR Game Fixed After Rishabh Pant Mysteriously Predicts Boundary

Fans across social media are sensing a foul play after a very unusual and suspicious incident took place during last night’s game between Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders at the Feroz Shah Kotla.  In the fourth over of Knight Riders’ innings, Delhi wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant made a comment that is bound to raise quite a few eyebrows.

On the other fourth delivery of the over, Sandeep Lamichhane had dismissed Nikhil Naik. Robin Uthappa then came to the middle and was taking his stance when Pant was heard saying:

“Ye to waise bhi chauka hai (This is a boundary anyway).”

Interestingly, Uthappa hit that delivery for a four, making the fans sense the worst as many of them felt that the game was fixed. What further raised their suspicion was the way the game panned out before Delhi pulled off an impressive win over their fancied opponents.

The game ended in a tie after both the teams scored 185 in the allotted 20 overs each. Asked to bat first, Kolkata Knight Riders were reeling at 61 for 5 before Andre Russell and Karthik bailed them out of trouble.

Russell scored 62 off just 28 balls before falling to a short ball from Chris Morris. The West Indies star slammed 4 boundaries and 6 sixes during his whirlwind knock. Karthik also completed his fifty off 33 deliveries before being dismissed by Amit Mishra. Piyush Chawla and Kuldeep Yadav then hit some boundaries at the end to take the team to a competitive score of 185 for 8.

In reply, Delhi were on course to chase down the total when Prithvi Shaw departed in the 19th over after scoring a sublime 99. With 6 runs needed off the last over, Delhi were in the driver’s seat. However, they blew their advantage away and could manage only five while also losing two wickets.

But in the Super Over, Kagiso Rabada superbly defended 10 runs to power Delhi to a win. However, the fans were more busy in discussing about that incident involving Rishabh Pant in the fourth over when he correctly predicted the outcome of the next ball.

Here is a clip of that incident involving Rishabh Pant:
