Australia’s fast bowler James Pattinson took a blinder of a catch to dismiss Todd Astle. Nathan Lyon gave flight to the ball and the right-hander wanted to hit it out of the park. However, Astle could not get the connection he was looking for and got a top edge. Pattinson was fielding at mid-on and had to cover a big distance to get to the ball.
The fast bowler eventually got to the ball and took a fine diving catch. After landing on the ground, Pattinson was able to hang on to the ball with his left hand. Consequently, he celebrated the majestic catch with his teammates. However, James Pattinson went wicketless throughout the whole match.
It was a blinder.
