Watch: Shane Watson & Dwayne Bravo Dance After Win Over Delhi Capitals
Dwayne Bravo and Shane Watson starred with ball and bat respectively as Chennai Super Kings thrashed Delhi Capitals by six wickets on Tuesday to register their second consecutive win in the tournament. Batting first, the Delhi Capitals could only score a modest total of 147 for 1. The Delhi batsmen struggled throughout to get going on the touch Feroz Shah Kotla track.
Shikhar Dhawan top scored for the team, scoring 51 but used up 47 deliveries for the same. The likes of Prithvi Shaw (24) and Rishabh Pant (25) got the starts but failed to capitalise. One of the reasons behind Delhi’s failure to finish strongly was Dwayne Bravo. The allrounder had conceded 17 runs in the first over but made a very strong comeback. In his next three overs, he dismissed Shikhar Dhawan, Rishabh Pant and Colin Ingram to derail’s Delhi’s innings. The home side did struggle to finish strongly and ended on 147.
But with the pitch being two-paced, the Super Kings needed a strong start in order to chase down the modest total. And Shane Watson provided exactly that. Despite losing his opening partner Ambati Rayudu early, the former Australia allrounder slammed 44 in quick time to help the Super Kings reach 100 in just the 11th over. However, MS Dhoni and Kedar Jadhav found it tough to get going on the two-paced Kotla track.
But the experienced duo hung on and kept the scoreboard ticking to all but seal the game with a 46-run stand. Bravo then hit a four in the final over to take the Super Kings home with two balls remaining.
Following the game, Watson and Bravo were indulged in an interview with each other where they spoke about their games.
The duo then capped it off by shaking their legs on Bravo’s latest song ‘Asia’.
