Watch: Under-Pressure Hardik Pandya Ignores Fans In Australia
Things are going from bad to worse for Hardik Pandya ever since the latest episode of Koffee with Karan aired last Sunday. Pandya made the news headlines for all the wrong reasons after attending the talk show alongside India teammate KL Rahul. Pandya is facing heavy backlash on social media for his comments that have largely been deemed “misogynistic “, “cringeworthy” and “disgusting” across social media.
Pandya, on Wednesday, had issued an apology too. The allrounder said he got carried away with the nature of the show. However, it did not bail him out of trouble. He and Rahul are now awaiting BCCI’s decision on the whole fiasco. And it looks like Pandya is struggling to keep up with the pressure. On Friday, the 25-year old decided to ignore fans at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG). He walked out of the arena without attending even bothering to look at the fans as they shouted his name and waited patiently for his autograph.

But unlike Pandya, his senior teammate MS Dhoni stopped by and also signed autographs for the fans. The ever-humble former India skipper patiently obliged to the fans after a training session on the eve of the series-opener in Sydney.

Meanwhile, Pandya and Rahul are in danger of being banned by the BCCI for appearing on the show without permission and their comments. CoA chief Vinod Rai has said that he has recommended a ban for the two.
“I have recommended a two-match ban for both players. However, the final decision will be taken once Diana gives her go ahead,” Rai told PTI.
India skipper Virat Kohli has also come down hard on the players, calling the comments “inappropriate” while insisting that they do not reflect the team’s viewpoint.
“We, definitely, as the Indian cricket team do not support views like that and that has been communicated,” Kohli said ahead of the first ODI. “I can definitely say that as the Indian cricket team and responsible cricketers we definitely don’t align with those views and those are purely individual views.”
