Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) acting president CK Khanna on Thursday said that he and the entire board were confident that Indian pacer Mohammed Shami would come out clean over the allegations levelled by his wife, Hasin Jahan.

Meanwhile, BCCI yesterday gave a clean chit to Shami and handed him a Garde B contract. As a result, Shami will earn Rs 3 crore from board per year.

BCCI in a statement confirmed that ACU head Neeraj Kumar had submitted his confidential report to the CoA. Further, CoA ACU head Neeraj Kumar had submitted his confidential report to the CoA.

Delighted with the news, Khanna admitted that he was confident about Shami coming out clean. He is now looking forward to some outstanding performance from the fast bowler in the upcoming IPL and England tour.

Not only was me, but the entire BCCI confident that Mohammed Shami will come clean out of it. We are really joyous and we wish him all the best and I am confident that he will come out with marvelous performance in IPL and even in tour of England,” Khanna told ANI.

Previously, the CoA led by Vinod game seven days deadline to BCCI’ ACU head Neeraj Kumar to submit his reports. These directions came after Shami’s wife Hasin Jahan charged him with adultery and match-fixing.

Meanwhile, Jahan also filed a case with Kolkata Police who has booked Shami under various sections. However, Shami has denied all the allegations.
