West Indies cricketer Andre Fletcher arrested at Dominica airport for carrying ammunition

Andre Fletcher, the West Indian batsman has been arrested in Dominica on the charges of carrying ammunition. He was arrested at the Airport and now will be taken to the court.

According to the local news channels, Fletcher was in Dominica for past few days and was practising with Windward Island Volcanoes team. Also, the manager of the team has come forward in terms of supporting Fletcher. The manager said that he knew about this and will support Fletcher in this matter.

Lockhart Sebastian, the manager of the Windward Island Volcanoes team added that he will not abandon Fletcher and this is what his role is.

Andre Fletcher had represented West Indies in 15 ODIs and had played 22 T20s, but could not meet the expectations and was eventually dropped from the side. He made his International debut in 2008 against Australia, playing in both the T20s and the ODI series.

He had earlier represented West Indies Under 19 team and is currently playing for St Lucia Zouks in the Carribean Premier League.
