When Sourav Ganguly trolled Shahid Afridi

Sourav Ganguly, India’s most dynamic captain ever, is known to have a great sense of humor. Ganguly used his humor to perfection when he once trolled the cricketing mindset of Pakistan’s flamboyant all-rounder Shahid Afridi.

In the first semi final of the 2012 ICC World T20, Pakistan lost to Sri Lanka despite chasing a mediocre total of 140. During Pakistan’s chase, Shahid Afridi let down the team massively as he was castled on a first ball duck by a mystery ball from Rangana Herath. Experts felt that Afridi did not play the ball on its merit and was simply too rash.

Eventually, Pakistan fell short by 16 runs as Sri Lanka advanced into the tournament final.

In the post match analysis show on Star network, Sourav Ganguly was highly critical of Afridi’s approach. Ganguly openly said that Afridi did not use his brain while batting and had batted senselessly in the past as well. The Prince of Kolkata also said that if was the captain, he would have demoted Afridi to number 11 in the batting order.

Ganguly seemed to be unstoppable and was at his hilarious best bashing Afridi. Check out the video below, to find out what Ganguly said about Boom Boom Afridi.
