Like the other team Velocity, both these teams also earned two points at the end of the league stage in the Women’s T20 Challenge 2020. But due to the higher net run-rates, Trailblazers finished on top of the points table and Supernovas finished on the second position in the points table as both these teams advanced to the final of this tournament and the third-positioned team Velocity ended their journey in this tournament.
Women’s T20 Challenge 2020, Final: Trailblazers vs Supernovas – Toss Report
Supernovas captain Harmanpreet Kaur won the toss and decided to bowl first. They made one alteration in the playing XI as Pooja Vastrakar joined the playing XI as the replacement of Priya Punia.
Harmanpreet said, “We will bowl first. We wanted to chase in the last two games and today we got that opportunity. We felt it’s not that easy to bat in the first innings and that’s the reason behind the decision.. No pressure. I told my players to just go and enjoy as we are not sure when we are gonna play next. We just want to keep playing. One change for us. Priya Punia is out and Pooja Vastrakar is in.”
On the other hand, Trailblazers captain Smriti Mandhana confirmed that they made only change in the playing XI. Nuzhat Parween replaced Dayalan Hemalatha.
Smriti said, “I would have batted first today and I’m happy losing the toss, it’s important that we got what we want. Lot of takeaways from the other game, good to have runs on the board and see how the bowlers do in the chase. One change for us. Nuzhat Parween comes in place of Dayalan Hemalatha.”
