West Indies and Australia cricket team faced each other in the World Cup 1975, which was the inaugural edition of the mega event.
Windies captain Clive Lloyd played the match-winnings for the country to lift the maiden World Cup trophy.
Australia won the toss and forced West Indies to bat first. Llyod led side had a drastic start as the top order batsman lost their victory. Then the captain came as the saviour for the team. He single-handedly led the innings, scoring 102 runs off just 85 balls. His innings led his side to put up a fighting total of 291 runs.
Eventually, West Indies created history as they won the mega event by 17 runs.
