It seems like Hardik Pandya has trained himself to be brutal in the game of cricket. The way he is hitting the ball so cleanly displays his hard work in the practice sessions. Meanwhile, the man of the tournament in ICC World Cup 2011 Yuvraj Singh believes that Hardik Pandya is going to have a special ICC World Cup 2019.
Recently, after the ban, Hardik Pandya made his way back into the side in New Zealand and immediately, made an impact on the game. He showed his skills in all sections of the game, which helped the Indian National Cricket Team to victories. Now, he is showing his charisma in IPL 2019.
His batting form is phenomenal – Yuvraj Singh
Speaking of the form of Hardik Pandya, Yuvraj Singh revealed a conversation between him and Hardik Pandya to PTI. He told Pandya that he is going to have a memorable ICC World Cup 2019 with the kind of form he is currently going in.
“I was actually having this conversation with him (Hardik) yesterday where I told him that ‘you have a great chance of performing really well with the ball and bat’, the kind of form he is in at the moment. Definitely, the way he is batting at the moment, it is phenomenal and I hope he carries that form. He has been bowling well in patches but as I said it is all about how you handle the pressure,” said Yuvraj.
Yuvraj Singh also quoted that he noticed Hardik in the net sessions before the start of the season. He revealed that he got a feeling that Pandya is going to have a great ICC World Cup 2019 in England.
“It is probably the best shape as a batsman to get in. I have been watching since the practice games, he was hitting the ball really well. I had told him ‘it is going to be a special tournament for you, the way you are hitting the ball. When you are doing that, you know that someone is batting very well,” said the southpaw.
The best knock in IPL – Yuvraj on Hardik’s knock against KKR
He hailed Hardik Pandya’s incredible knock against Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Gardens. Yuvraj Singh believes that shows his form in the middle, which would certainly aid the team.
“Over the years, as an experienced player you know if someone is hitting the ball well, he is in great shape. He got 91 from 34 balls against KKR, probably that is the best innings I have seen in the IPL. And also, he hit four quality bowlers he was batting against.”
Well, it would be interesting to see how Hardik approaches the upcoming showpiece event in England. For now, he is whacking those deliveries as sweetly as it can get for Rohit Sharma-led side in IPL 2019. Currently, he is the second most valuable player in the IPL 2019 after Andre Russell.
