Bernie Ecclestone has now stated that the Marussia F1 team would also miss out on the US GP which is to be held next week. Speaking to Reuters, Ecclestone stated that “Neither of those teams are going to go to America,”

This is in addition to the Caterham team who are also going to miss out on the two GP’s in the USA and Brazil.

There have been calls from the smaller teams that costs are very high and this in turn leads teams to be disbanded. Caterham entered administration on Friday with the closure of their Leafield factory. They have been searching for new owners for some time now.

Representatives at Marussia could not be reached but the air transport for all the teams’ cars and freights is taken care off by Ecclestone’s Formula One Management and they were due to be flown out on Saturday but that does not seem to be the case for both the teams.

Marussia who ran only one car in the Russian Grand Prix as a mark of respect for Jules Bianchi, who is still in a Japanese hospital after a crash he suffered in the Japanese Grand Prix. This also means that Alexander Rossi, the Marrusia reserve driver will not be able to drive in his home race.
