Kylian Mbappe has won over the internet with a heartwarming tweet for his PSG teammate Achraf Hakimi following Morocco’s stunning win over Spain in the ongoing 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Morocco stunned  the 2010 FIFA World Cup champions with a 3-0 win in the shootout after a goalless draw to reach the World Cup quarterfinals.

Spain and Morocco couldn’t be separated after 120 minutes before the game was decided by the shootout. Spain had an outing to forget as they could not convert any of their three penalties, with goalkeeper Yassine Bounou brilliantly saving two.

Morocco, on the other hand, were spot on from the spot with Hakimi hitting the winning penalty. Born and raised in Madrid, the PSG star hit a stunning spot-kick to spark wild celebrations in the stands.

Morocco will now lock horns against Portugal in the quarterfinals for a place in the semifinal as they aim to become the first-ever African country to do so.
