Before heading to play the second ODI, BCCI announced that the matches in Lucknow and Kolkata will be played behind the close doors which were later postponed.

However, the pandemic has forced to stop the game for a long time.

IPL 2020 is a big opportunity for MS Dhoni to prove himself and make a place in the Indian team for the T20 World Cup scheduled in Australia later in October.

The 38-year-old has not played a competitive match after last featuring in the semi-finals against New Zealand in ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.

Since then, he has made himself unavailable. The Ranchi-star has also been removed from the national central contract of BCCI.

It had increased the speculation that the fans might not see him in Indian jersey. While there are also statements going around that his performance in IPL will decide his future in the Indian team.

Meanwhile, IPL has been postponed from 29th March to 15th April. BCCI has also proposed five expected dates to start the game. If everything goes with the plan, fans might witness the IPL.

However, changes will be made in the format and the time period of the tournament might be cut short. This year Asia Cup 2020 is also scheduled so it will be interesting to see how everything will be managed in a short period of time.

Watch: Faf du Plessis Cool Things Between Kagiso Rabada And Quinton de Kock

It was not a pretty sight when South Africa’s fast bowler Kagiso Rabada had a heated argument with wicket-keeper Quinton de Kock. Rabada came charging towards Quinton de Kock in the overs break when South African skipper Faf du Plessis came in between the two players to cool things off.

Kagiso Rabada had thrown the ball back to keeper but his accuracy was wayward. Consequently, it went for overthrow runs which didn’t please Quinton de Kock. Thus, there was a heated argument between the two players.

It was not a pretty sight.

The South African team has been in the field for almost two days and the frustrations have been palpable for all the players. Kagiso Rabada was the pick of the South African bowlers on day one as he had scalped three wickets.

On the other hand, Quinton de Kock had scored a fine knock of 111 in the first innings of the first Test match. de Kock had also led the Proteas in the T20I series which the visitors drew 1-1. The southpaw batsman was also awarded the Man of the series as he had scored two half-centuries in the three-match series.

On the other hand, Ajinkya Rahane gave good support to his captain as he scored a fine knock of 59 runs. Rahana and Kohli added a mammoth alliance of 178 runs for the four-wicket partnership to put India in command.

Earlier on day one, Mayank Agarwal continued his good form going as he scored a sublime knock of 108 runs. Pujara also scored a handy knock of 58 runs.

ICC World Cup 2019: Ben Stokes Pulls Off A Stunner To Dismiss Phehlukwayo

ICC Cricket World Cup has officially begun on Thursday and it is already entertaining fans from the very first match. From brilliant bowling and batting displays to stellar catches, we have seen them all. And it is only one match old and will have one and half more months of action.

Ben Stokes has become the talking point with his incredible catch during the second innings of the tournament opener. The agile all rounder made good strides and plucked a world class catch to dismiss Phehlukwayo during South Africa’s chase.

After losing their way in the run chase, Phehlukwayo tried his best to turn the tide against England bowlers. But such was the brilliance of Ben Stokes on the day, he can consider him very unlucky.

Phehlukwayo took on Adil Rashid and went for a slop sweep over leg side. Ben Stokes who was fielding at deep mid wicket need to cover some good few yards and eventually picked up an incredible catch. It is already a contender for catch of the tournament and is definitely one of the best catches in world cricket.

He took the catch with one hand while being on a jump in mid air. What is more impressive is the fact that he landed on the ground so well and made it look so easy. No matter, who ever is on the field in this World Cup, they need to absolutely take a blinder to beat this catch.

Needless to say, this catch will be cherished by cricket fans for a very long time. Ben Stokes will definitely remember this moment for the rest of his career.

Here is the video

South Africa had struggled in their chase against England. Having batted first, England made good use of the wicket after four of the top five batsmen managed to score fifties. The mere exception was Jonny Bairstow who was out in the very first over, courtesy of some brilliance from Imran Tahir. Considered as tournament favorites, England are looking like a engine well oiled and it will be tough for other sides if they continue this form.

IPL 2019, Match 35: KKR vs RCB- Watch: Virat Takes a Good Juggling Catch to Dismiss Shubhman Gill

Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper Virat Kohli kept on his good work even in the field as he took a juggling catch to dismiss Shubhman Gill of KKR. It was a good catch especially given the fact that Shubhman Gill had struck that pretty well. He missed the catch on his first attempt but then latched onto it in the rebound.

Virat Kohli took one more catch to dismiss Chris Lynn early on in the KKR innings. Meanwhile, the Indian skipper who was short of runs in the tournament so far looked in ominous touch from the outset and went onto smash his 5th IPL century. It was his brilliant partnership with Moeen Ali which helped Bangalore claw their way back into the game after the loss of a couple of wickets.

Moeen Ali, in particular, started taking on the KKR bowlers to the cleaners. He raced off to 66 of 27 deliveries, an innings which was studded with 5 fours and 6 sixes. Moeen’s knock also included a 27 runs over of the bowling of Kuldeep Yadav. It was sensational hitting to say the least as he took RCB over the 150 mark.

After his dismissal, it was Virat Kohli who took the onus on himself to take his franchise over the 200 mark. It was scintillating batting from the Indian maestro who scored his 5th IPL century in the final over of the innings. His knock of 100 came in just 58 deliveries which included 9 fours and 4 sixes. Eventually, Bangalore finished on 213/4 in their allotted 20 overs.

Coming out to bat, KKR was never in the chase as they kept losing wickets on a consistent basis. Robin Uthappa played a horrible knock as he was dismissed on 9 of 19 deliveries. It put pressure on the rest of the batters but it was a great partnership between Nitish Rana and Andre Russell which got KKR back into the game. When the article was written KKR needed 43 to win of the final two overs.

India vs New Zealand 2019: Watch How MS Dhoni’s Advice Helps Kuldeep Yadav to Undone Trent Boult

India had an outstanding time in the opener of the five-match One-day International series with the ball in particular. However, as often MS Dhoni has made his presence felt while dictating the terms to the bowlers. And at the McLean Park in Napier on Wednesday (January 23) at the fag end of the innings, spectators witnessed the same. Dhoni had a piece of advice for promising spinner Kuldeep Yadav, who bagged a fourth scalp in the form of Trent Boult.

Former Indian skipper Dhoni again showcased his class owing to the prediction. As often Dhoni has guided the slow bowlers before they fill in their wickets column and such has been an impact of Dhoni.

The incident happened when Kuldeep was getting ready to deliver the final delivery of his quota of the tenth over when Dhoni told him to change the angle.

While referring to the batsman Trent Boult, stump mic revealed Dhoni told Kuldeep:aankh bandh karke rokega, around the wicket daal (He will shut his eyes to defend, come over the wicket)“.

Kuldeep, who somewhat had shown reluctance before accepting the advice of Dhoni, had no other choice. Interestingly, it eventually paid dividends to the youngster as Boult edged the ball straight into the bucket-like hands of Rohit Sharma, who was stationed at the first slip.

Earlier, after the hosts Kiwis won the toss, India bowled remarkably well. The visitors’ bowlers bundled out the Black Caps on a paltry total of 157 in 38 overs.

For the Kiwis, Williamson was the highest scorer with 81-ball 64 runs.

The wrist-spinner Kuldeep starred with the ball. He claimed four wickets after conceding 39 runs in his quota of 10 overs.

On the other side, Mohammed Shami, who bowled with clinical precision bagged three wickets in just six overs. Besides the 27-year-old Haryana-based leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal bagged two wickets.

Pace spearhead Bhuvneshwar Kumar who went wicketless conceded 20 runs in his five overs. But Kedar Jadhav who was used as a sixth option bagged all-important wicket of Henry Nicholls.

Here’s the video of how MS Dhoni dictated terms to Kuldeep Yadav.
