Antonio Conte’s Future Decided After Meeting With Chelsea Owner Recently

Antonio Conte created history in his first season in England as he became the first manager to lift the domestic league title in his first season in the country.

The Italian mastermind helped Chelsea to their second league title in three years and is now determined to improve the squad for the challenges lying ahead next season.

The manager is looking to add some of the finest stars in world football to the club this summer and the likes of Tiemoue Bakayoko and Alex Sandro are close to a move to the club in the upcoming days.

However, Chelsea are yet to announce their first signing after the end of the previous season and reports started to emerge that Antonio Conte is unhappy with the situation at the club.

According to reports earlier in the week, the former Juventus manager is unhappy at the club at the moment and is prepared to walk away if needed.

The report claims that Conte is unhappy with the backing up of his club hierarchy and feels that they are not working towards the same goal and it was reported that he could find a way back to the Serie A this summer.

However, it looks like all such rumours were put to an end in a recent meeting between Conte and the club owner Roman Abramovich earlier this week.

According to the Times, Conte met with Chelsea’s owner to discuss the future of the club, the right transfer targets they should buy, the manager’s new contract and much more, giving Conte enough promises to keep him at the club.

They claim that the talks between the manager and owner have solidified Conte’s commitment to the club and that he is ready to pen a new deal at the Stamford Bridge in the upcoming days.

It is also understood that Chelsea and Conte will now be handed a war chest of £200m for transfer dealings this summer.

Bakayoko and Sandro might eat into half of that chest while Romelu Lukaku could eat into the other half. But Diego Costa’s sale could help Conte add another full-back and a centre-back to the squad.

But do you think Chelsea can repeat their performances from the previous season in the next?
