Arsenal transfer roundup- Chambers move, striker blow and more

Arsenal have been on a roll in the transfer market over the last week as they have secured the signings of both Lucas Perez and Shkodran Mustafi. Arsene Wenger, however, is keen to make a few additions to the settled side at his disposal.

The Gunners are looking to sign one more player before the end of the transfer window as they are keen to become a dominant force in English football once again. The Gunners have already signed Granit Xhaka and Rob Holding earlier in the summer apart from Mustafi and Perez this week.

Arsenal defender Calum Chambers is set to join Middlesborough on a season-long deal, according to Daily Mail.

The 21-year old has started for Arsenal in the season opener against Liverpool but the poor outing meant he is restricted to the bench after that game. However, Wenger believes that the young defender could still succeed at the club as he is willing to let him leave on loan.

Leicester City target Islam Slimani appeared to confirm his move to the Premier League club as he left the pitch in tears in an emotional farewell in a 2-1 win against Porto on Sunday.

The 28-year old’s representatives have reportedly held talks with Leicester City’s officials as the deal is close to completion with the Foxes willing to pay a massive £25million fee.

Islam Slimani is one of the striker targets for Arsenal as they scouted him all summer. He has scored 32 goals in 42 games for both club and country last season.

According to Gazello Dello Sport, Arsenal face a major setback as Chelsea are ready to offer Cesc Fabregas in an attempt to sign Marcelo Brozovic from Inter Milan.

The talented Croatian midfielder is expected to leave San Siro this summer and the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool and Juventus are also interested in signing him.

According to latest reports in Germany, Paris Saint-Germain are closing in on a move for Wolfsburg attacking midfielder Julian Draxler.

Bild claim that the French champions are ready to make a massive £64m bid to finalize the deal for talented German midfielder. The 22-year old is one of the long-term targets of Arsenal and have recently expressed his desire to leave his current club after the end of Euro 2016 campaign.

According to The Sun, Jack Wilshere have demanded the club for a loan move. Having suffered a number of setbacks due to injuries over the last few months, the English international is keen to revive his career away from Emirates.

The emergence of Francis Coquelin and the signing of Granit Xhaka meant his playing time could be limited in the current season and a move away would ensure his progress.
