According to Daily Mail, Lyon are keen to sign Chelsea striker Loic Remy on a season-long loan deal with an option to buy at the end of the loan spell to replace Alexandre Lacazette if he moves to Arsenal this summer. The 29-year old have failed to pin down a place in the first team since his move to Chelsea from QPR in 2014.
The French international was used as an impact substitution by previous managers and his future looks uncertain at Stamford Bridge after the signing of Michy Batshuayi from Marseille this summer.
The signing meant Remy have fallen further down in the pecking order with Diego Costa and new signing Batshuayi ahead of him which could hamper his playing time in the on-going season.
Lacazette has been in fine form as he score a hat-trick in their season opener in Ligue 1 and has expressed his willingness to stay at the French club. However, Lyon are getting ready for some late bidding from Gunners as Wenger is keen to sign two to three players before the transfer window closes.
Lacazette after scoring the hat-trick said: ‘If offers come in that one cannot refuse, I don’t want to refuse them. If not, I am happy at Lyon.’
The Gunners have already made a 35 million Euro bid which was rejected by Lyon but the Gunners are desperate to sign some new signings after their 3-4 loss to Liverpool in season opener.
