According to latest reports, Premier League Champions, Chelsea are looking for Barcelona forward Pedro Rodriguez. The Spanish International is also reported to be considering a move away from Camp Nou.
A move to Premier League would be ideal for the 27-year old as the future of the player at Camp Nou is not clear with Barcelona using star forwards Messi, Neymar and Suarez in most of the matches.
The player helped his side reach the Champions League semi-finals which they currently lead 3-0 but the player is not a starter in his team as he is often benched by Luis Enrique. However, the manager claims that he is an integral part of the team and will not let Pedro leave Barcelona.
Enrique recently said, “He’s important, a key player for us. He’s done what he needs to at all points during the season. He’s a great example for his teammates. He’s perfect in training, and whenever he’s needed, he’s there. It’s a pleasure having him.”
The player’s lack of playing time caught the eyes of Premier League clubs Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool. With Mourinho being a huge fan of the player, it is likely that the player would move to Chelsea as he looks for more trophies in England.
