Chelsea are one of the many clubs who are set to make big changes to their squad this summer.
With a new manager arriving, there will be plenty of potential transfers before the start of the next season but the lack of European football might see them miss out on top transfer targets at the end of the season.
However, they have apparently started to scout for players for their next season and Leicester City’s midfielder is expected to be high on the wish list at Stamford Bridge.
According to reports, Chelsea have already approached the King Power outfit and have enquired about a possible move for star midfielder N’Golo Kante this summer.
Kante moved to Leicester City before the start of the season and took no time to settle into the Premier League. He has been splendid in the mid-field for Claudio Ranieri’s side and has played a huge part in their race to the top of the points table this season.
He is a midfield powerhouse with relentless energy and is a manager’s dream player in any squad. He has also been able to contribute with a couple of goals for the club this season and looks like a player that will better most of the squad’s he walks into.
Chelsea are set to lose the likes of Eden Hazard and Cesc Fabregas this summer and with the likes of Nemanja Matic out of form, it is understandable as to why they want to get Kante to Stamford Bridge next season.
Get French Football News say the Blues have made discreet enquiries about the hugely promising 24-year-old.
However, the performances of Kante this season has seen him linked with a number of clubs including the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool and it will be interesting to see if Leicester City are even happy to part ways with their mid-fielder.
Kante is also tipped off to win the PFA player of the year award for his outstanding season and with Leicester City surely going into the Champions League next season, this move to Chelsea might not be happening anytime soon.
However, with a lot set to change at Stamford Bridge, it will be interesting to see if they can get their hands on the 24-year old.
Do you think N’Golo Kante will leave Leicester City just a year after joining them?
