Confirmed: Hertha Berlin want Arsenal striker

German club Hertha Berlin have confirmed their interest in signing Arsenal young forward Serge Gnabry on a season-long loan deal.
The 21-year old is in sensational form as he scored six goals in just four games at Rio Olympics as Germany have cruised to semifinals and will meet Nigeria today for a place in final.
The 21-year old is into his last year on his Arsenal contract and the Gunners are keen to have the player. Gnabry has failed to cement his place at Arsenal first team as he was sent on loan to West Brom last season but was recalled as he managed only one Premier League appearance in his loan spell.
With his recent form, a host of Bundesliga clubs are interested in signing the former Stuttgart youth prodigy including the likes of Eintracht Frankfurt and RB Leipzig but Hertha Berlin are confident to finalize the deal in a couple of days.
“Serge exactly meets our search parameters. Let’s see what will happen in the next couple of days,” Hertha Berlin coach Dardai told Bild.
It remains to be seen whether Arsene Wenger will send the young forward on loan considering the amount of pressure that the manager is facing to sign a striker this summer. Could Wenger gamble on Gnabry this season to see if he could become like a Marcus Rashford at Manchester United last season.
