Craziest Rumour: Arsenal Star Alexis Sanchez Offered to Real Madrid

Nagendra / 21 July 2017

Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez has been offered to European champions Real Madrid by his agent Fernando Felicevich, according to reports in Spain.

Unsettled At Arsenal

The Chilean international is into his final year of contract at Arsenal and is seeking a move away from Emirates as he expressed his desire to play in Champions League.

The Gunners have failed to quality for the elite competition after finishing fifth in the Premier League last season and Spanish media outlet OKDiario claims that Sanchez’s agent Fernando Felicevich has offered the player to Real Madrid.

Despite asking the Spanish giants Real Madrid to make a bid, there still seems to be certain blockades for the deal to happen. The report suggests manager Zinedine Zidane must trim his squad  to accommodate Sanchez and there are also concerns about the “character of Sanchez”.

All this could once again lead up to a transfer to Manchester City where the Chilean could reunite with his former manager Pep Guardiola. The duo had worked together at Barcelona and Sanchez is always fond of Guardiola even after moving to Arsenal.

Wenger confident of keeping Sanchez

Initially Arsene Wenger was ready to let Sanchez leave for Bayern Munich but with the German giants reluctant to surrender to his wage demands, the move did not happen. They went on and signed James Rodriguez from Real Madrid in the deal of the summer.

This has left Sanchez with only one viable option in Manchester City but Arsene Wenger is not ready to sell his star player to one of his title rivals in the league. He remains confident that the 28-year old will stay at Emirates for at least one more season before leaving for free if needed be.

Earlier reports suggests that Sanchez is very happy in London and the city’s life should play a part on his decision to stay with the club. Meanwhile, Arsenal are also readying a massive £275,000-a-week contract to prevent him from moving away to other Premier League rivals.

Sanchez was the best player for Arsenal last season after scoring an impressive 30 goals and 19 assists across all competitions and if he decides to leave then Arsenal would be in big trouble to fill his shoes this season.
