Juan Cuadrado badly wants to return to the starting line-up of Chelsea and for that, the midfielder is determined to do whatever he can and earn new boss Antonio Conte’s faith in him. The first kick-off of the next season is not far away and Cuadrado is desperate to book his spot in the Blues first team.
Former Chelsea boss and current Man United boss Jose Mourinho didn’t think Cuadrado was good enough to stay at the Stamford Bridge last season and thus the midfielder was loaned out to Turin club Juventus, where the Colombian performed very well.
Back in 2013, Cuadrado used to play for Serie A club Fiorentina, when Conte was the manager of Juventus, and a big fan of the winger.
The Blues manager has assured the Colombian midfielder that he is in his plan at the West London club, but for that Cuadrado will have to prove his worth!
‘We all work for that purpose. I have to train well and strong and let’s see what God wants,’
‘I am glad of being here (for the ICC tournament). It’s important for us to do well and make a good pre-season.
‘We have been working well and looking for what the coach wants. This is a good opportunity to show what we have already worked on in previous training sessions and games.’ said Cuadrado.
In his 28 appearances for Juventus in the Serie A Cuadrado scored four and assisted six, which is pretty good considering the game-time he was provided with.
