Arsenal won the first North-London derby in this season

Hosts Arsenal beat Tottenham Hotspur by 2-0 in the first North-London derby in this season. Shkodran Mustafi opened the scoreline for Arsenal on 36 minutes through a superb header from a brilliant free-kick which was taken by Mesut Ozil. It was Mustafi’s first goal of this season.

Just five minutes later, Alexis Sanchez made the scoreline 2-0 for the hosts after Alexandre Lacazette created a chance for him with a brilliant ball.

Tottenham had some good chances but they failed to beat the Arsenal goalie Petr Cech.

 

10-man Bournemouth thrashed Huddersfield through Callum Wilson’s hat-trick

10-man Bournemouth beat Huddersfield Town by the 4-0 margin after Callum Wilson scored a hat-trick.

Wilson put the hosts Bournemouth 1-0 ahead on 26 minutes through a header from the next corner. Just five minutes later, he netted second time and this time he scored from the following set-piece that was brilliantly taken by Andrew Surman.

Just before the half-time whistle, hosts’ defender Simon Francis was sent off due to receiving two yellow cards (35’ & 45’+4’) in the game.

However, that decision was not to put much impact on their game. Harry Arter made the scoreline 3-0 for the hosts on 70 minutes while Wilson completed his hat-trick on 84 minutes.

 

Burnley beat Swansea through two first-half goals

Hosts Burnley beat Swansea City through the two first-half goals as the final scoreline was 2-0.

Jack Cork opened the scoreline on 29 minutes through a header from the following cross that was generated by Robbie Brady. On 40 minutes, Ashley Barnes extended the scoreline through a powerful shot from just outside the box.

Burnley also had a disallowed goal on 85 minutes due to an offside occurrence.

On the other hand, Swansea City managed to put only one shot on target in the whole game, despite their lots of effort.

 

Everton secured a point after resulting a 2-2 draw against Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace 2 (James McArthur 1′; Wilfried Zaha 35′) – Everton 2 (Leighton Baines 6′ PEN; Oumar Niasse 45’+1′)

Host Crystal Palace vs Everton match ended with a 2-2 draw as both the teams earned a point from this encounter. Everton made a comeback twice from trailing while the hosts failed to maintain their lead.

James McArthur put the hosts 1-0 ahead just inside the 51 seconds. Earlier, Ruben Loftus-Cheek’s (Crystal Palace) shot was saved by the visitors’ goalie Jordan Pickford with a diving effort, but that ran into James McArthur who perfectly finished that.

However, just four minutes later, Everton won a penalty after Oumar Niasse (Everton) was brought down by Scott Dann (Crystal Palace) inside the penalty box. Leighton Baines perfectly equalised the scoreline from that penalty as the hosts’ goalie Julian Speroni dived to the wrong side.

Hosts regained their lead on 35 minutes after Wilfried Zaha netted from Joel Ward’s cross. Though, that lead was also not sustained for a long time as the scoreline was once again levelled just before the half-time.

In the first injury minute of the first-half, Oumar Niasse made the scoreline 2-2 for Everton after some awful responses in the hosts’ defense.

In the second half, both teams tried hard to earn the lead, but at the end, they stayed happy with a point each.

 

Manchester City continued their winning streak with a 2-0 away victory against Leicester

Manchester City claimed their tenth winning streak in this PL season after beating Leicester City by the 2-0 margin. Manchester City has won all their six away games in this PL season.

Just before the half-time, Gabriel Jesus broke the deadlock after David Silva created a ball for him.

On just four minutes of the second half, Kevin De Bruyne added another goal for Manchester City with a brilliant strike from outside the box.

During the whole game, hosts Leicester City had no shots on target.

 

In-form Salah’s brace provided an easy victory for Liverpool

Hosts Liverpool clinched an easy victory against Southampton with the help of Mohamed Salah’s brace and Philippe Coutinho’s only strike.

Just after the half-an-hour mark, Liverpool’s in-form forward Mohamed Salah produced the 1-0 lead through a superb strike from 20-yard distance.

10 minutes later, Salah scored his second goal of the match after Coutinho released a through ball for him.

On 68 minutes, Liverpool earned the 3-0 lead after Coutinho struck on a rebound chance.

Meanwhile, Southampton even failed to put at least one shot on target in the entire match.

 

Chelsea claimed a 4-0 victory against the hosts WBA

West Bromwich Albion 0 – Chelsea 4 (Alvaro Morata 17′; Eden Hazard 23′ & 62′; Marcos Alonso 38′)

Defending champions Chelsea claimed a 4-0 victory against the hosts West Bromwich Albion (WBA).

In 5 minutes, WBA striker Salomon Rondon’s header crossed the goal-line but that was disallowed due to an offside decision.

Alvaro Morata opened the scoreline for Chelsea on 17 minutes from an open chance.

Just six minutes later, Eden Hazard struck an open net as Chelsea took a 2-0 lead.

On 38 minutes, Marcos Alonso brilliantly scored the third goal for the visitors through a volley from the following free-kick.

Eden Hazard scored his second goal on 62 minutes after he calmly finished Cesc Fabregas’ long delivery.

 

Manchester United thrashed Newcastle on Pogba, Ibrahimovic’s return day

Manchester United 4 (Anthony Martial 37′; Chris Smalling 45’+1′; Paul Pogba 54′; Romelu Lukaku 70′) – Newcastle United 1 (Dwight Gayle 14′)

Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic made a superb return as the hosts Manchester United beat Newcastle United in a thrashing style.

Newcastle got an early lead after Dwight Gayle successfully netted on 14 minutes.

Anthony Martial levelled the scoreline on 37 minutes through a header from the Paul Pogba’s cross.

In the first injury minute of the first-half, Chris Smalling put the hosts 2-1 ahead through another header that was assisted by Ashley Young with a cross.

Pogba extended the hosts’ lead to 3-1 on 54 minutes while Romelu Lukaku added another goal in 70th minutes.

Apart from Pogba, Ibrahimovic also performed impressively in this game.

Watford beat West Ham United by 2-0

Hosts Watford beat West Ham United by the 2-0 margin.

Will Hughes produced an early lead for the hosts on 11 minutes which was stretched by Richarlison on 64 minutes.

West Ham United had some great chances to open their scoreline but they failed to break the deadlock.

 

Monday (20/11/2017)

Brighton held to a 2-2 draw against Stoke City

Hosts Brighton & Hove Albion was held to a 2-2 draw against Stoke City.

Maxim Choupo-Moting produced the 1-0 lead for Stoke City on 28 minutes with a great finish after Xherdan Shaqiri assisted that with a long ball.

Pascal Gross equalised the scoreline on 44 minutes from Davy Propper’s cross who created that after a superb run.

In the injury minute of the first half, Stoke City regained their lead (1-2) after Kurt Zouma scored a goal through the header from the following corner.

On an hour mark, Jose Izquierdo levelled the scoreline (2-2) for the hosts which were also remained until the end of the match.
