The defending champions did not have a remarkable start under their new boss, rumors are also spreading that the key player of united squad Robin Van Persie is not happy with David Moyes, we all know the past relations between Moyes and Wayne Rooney. It will not an easy job to have instant success for ‘The Chosen One’ in Manchester United. The first game against the Swans was excellent, but the next two games were disappointing. They failed to beat Chelsea at their home and lost to their bitter rival Liverpool where they looked the weaker side. Crystal Palace recorded the first victory of their new campaign at their last fixture against Sunderland, they performed pretty well in the last fixture and showed signs of progress.
What to expect from this game
Whatever the progress is, Manchester United is still one of the best teams of the league and we will not be surprised if they dominate over Crystal Palace. Possibly It will be a one sided game where the home side will come out with an easy victory. The most important thing to expect from this match is how the Manchester United players cope-up with the former Everton manager, especially the Dutch sensation Robin Van Persie. We might predict a comfortable home win for Crystal palace but they are, of course, not a matter of joke. The last time these two teams met on this ground was in 2012 on a League Cup tie where Crystal Palace defeated Manchester United. So it is definitely possible for the underdogs to take the advantage over a ‘disturbed’ Manchester United.
Players to watch out for
Robin Van Persie (Manchester United) : No doubt the rebel forward of David Moyes’ squad is the man to watch for. He scored 30 goals in the last campaign for his side and already scored 4 goals in the campaign. Though, he was prevented again and again by the Liverpool defense in the last game but is the Palace defense enough strong to stop him?
Mile Jedinak (Crystal Palace) : The Australian international was the man of the match against Sunderland and he looks to be great form. He controlled the Palace midfield in the last fixture and Palace must keep faith on their midfield against Manchester United.
Manchester United : We see three possible changes in the starting lineups for the home side. Phil Jones who picked up an ankle injury would get replaced by Chris Smalling. Ryan Giggs could be benched as Antonio Valencia might be introduced and Tom Cleverley might be shown bench as he performed very bad against Liverpool and the new signing all the way from Everton might get the first team in his debut game for his new team.
Crystal palace : Since they won their last game the manager Ian Holloway might keep his winning eleven unchanged. We don’t see any possible changes to be made in the Crystal Palace starting lineup.
As I said earlier, we predict a comfortable home win victory for Manchester United. The home side might also receive a clean sheet.
Predicted score line : Manchester United 3 – 0 Crystal palace
Predicted scorers : Van Persie x2, Welbeck
