This is going to be a very interesting match, there are lots of things to look forward in both teams, questions have been raised after the end of the transfer window about both of these teams, and we hope to get the answers of all those interrogations. The questions that have been raised over the home side, the on-loan man Fabio Borini is possibly going to get the first team opportunity since Connor Wickham is injured, how would he cope up with his new team? Liverpool bought Borini last season for a reported fee of £10 million but he could not impress the supporters. Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is still optimistic about him and he has sent the Italian on loan so that he could justify his price tag in future.
Arsenal shocked the world by bagging Mesut Ozil in the dead line day of the summer transfer window for a reported fee of £42.5 million. Real Madrid players are very disappointed with the departure of the German international. Some of the football pundits are claiming that the deal of Ozil is more like a ‘panic buy’ as they already have players like Wilshare and Cazorla, the biggest question is, would Ozil be able to find success in the fastest and the toughest football league in the World?
What to Expect from this match
The last time Sunderland hosted Arsenal at the Stadium of Light, Arsene Wenger’s men came out with a 0 – 1 victory. The picture could become a bit different this season; both teams have comparatively stronger sides than they had last season. Sunderland somehow saved the relegation last time, but would they be able to save it once again? They could achieve only one point from their first three games in the new campaign, in their next game the picture will get cleared about their probable progress. Ozil might be making his debut against Sunderland, this is most interesting part of the 4th game week, Mesut Ozil will make his debut in English football, how would he perform? Will he be able to justify his price tag and fame? We have to wait till this Saturday to get all these answers.
Players to watch out for
Steven Fletcher (Sunderland) : Won’t expect Fabio Borini as the player to watch for because he probably might not get the first team as Jozy Altidore is there. Fletcher who came out as a substitute in the last game and scored a goal for his team performed really superb and definitely the best for Sunderland. I won’t be surprised Di Canio place him in the first team by taking out Ji.
Mesut Ozil (Arsenal) : With no question, the German international is the main man to watch in the Arsenal side. Not only this signing made the Gunners a top 4 contender but also a league title contender. All the dreams of Arsenal fans are depending on Ozil, everyone is dying to see his performance.
Sunderland : We see three possible changes in the Sunderland lineup in their next fixture, O’Shea was sent off in the last game so Carlos Cuellar might be given his vacant place, Ji Dong Won would possibly get replaced by Steven Fletcher, and another obvious change would be either Borini or Altidore in place of injured Wickham. Most probably it would be Altidore as this is the first game of Borini for his new side.
Arsenal : Only one change is possible in the Arsenal lineup as Thomas Rosicky might get replaced by Mesut Ozil. Rest of the squad might remain unchanged.
We predict a victory for the away side in this crucial fixture. It would not be an easy task for Sunderland forwards to score any goal either, so we predict a clean sheet for Arsenal too.
Predicted score line : Sunderland 0 – 2 Arsenal
Predicted scorers : Giroud and Cazorla (Arsenal)
