Rio de Janeiro, Jan 24 (IANS) Brazilian football club Flamengo are expected to confirm the signing of Colombia international midfielder Gustavo Cuellar within days after agreeing on financial terms with Deportivo Cali.
The Rio de Janeiro club will pay $2 million for the 23-year-old who has agreed to a four-year deal. Cuellar arrived here on Saturday and is expected to undergo a medical examination on Sunday, reports Xinhua.
He will be the ninth new signing for Flamengo since December and is expected to slot straight into Muricy Ramalho’s first team. Cuellar made his international debut when he was called up for Colombia’s friendly against Peru in September 2015.
